1. Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Program:

Scholarship Amount: Tuition and registration cost waiver for 1 year

Eligible Degree: 1 year of Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. study

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) of Ireland is pleased to provide an International Education Scholarship Program on behalf of the Irish government. This is accessible to non-EU/EEA students who have an outstanding offer from any qualifying Irish institution.

This scholarship in Ireland, which is accessible to 60 students, comes with complete tuition and a registration fee waiver for 1 year. Although all disciplines of study are acceptable, the scholarship may only cover any of the following:

  • Final year of an undergraduate course

3. University College Dublin (UCD) Global Excellence Scholarship:

Scholarship Amount: 50% to 100% of the tuition fee amount

Eligible Degree: Select UCD Bachelor’s and Master’s programs

  • Founded in the year 1854, UCD is Ireland’s largest university. And with more than 8,500 UCD seeks to recruit more international students through its Global Excellence Scholarship, one of the greatest scholarships in Ireland for international students.
  • The merit award is open to incoming UCD students (excluding those coming from the International Foundation Year programme) and is based on a ‘holistic’ examination of the application.

Scholarship availability varies by area:

  • Undergraduate scholarships, for example, are accessible to North American nationals. Graduate bursaries, on the other hand, are only available to South Asian students. Scholarships at the undergraduate and graduate levels are available for students from other areas (as well as citizens of North America).

5.    NUI Galway International Students Scholarships:

Non- EU meritorious students can get this scholarship if enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs.

Benefits: Scheme specific awards amounting from $2,200- $5,700 for UG and PG students. In some schemes, tuition fee is waived, while for research candidates, an allowance of $18,300 is awarded yearly.

For applicants from Non-EEA/ EU Countries pursuing full-time Masters’ program, Centenary scholarship program is open. Scholarship is available for students enrolled in Dublin Institute of Technology.

  • Benefits: One half of the tuition fee will be waived

6.    Ireland Fellows Programme – Asia:

The Ireland Fellows Programme allows early- to mid-career professionals with leadership potential from qualified countries to benefit from a distinguished, world-class, quality education that contributes to capacity development. It provides chosen students with the option to pursue a fully financed one-year master’s degree programme at an Irish higher education institution (HEI). The grant covers programme fees, travel, lodging, and living expenses. Eligible master’s level programmes in Ireland begin in August or September of each year and last between 10 and 16 months, depending on the programme. The Ireland Fellows Programme encourages gender equality, equal opportunity, and diversity.

The Program’s objectives are to strengthen in-country ability to accomplish national SDG targets and to foster good ties with Ireland.

The Program is designed to help graduates contribute to capacity development in their home countries and become part of the next generation of leaders in their chosen industries when they return home. They are also expected to contribute to the development of long-term good personal and professional ties with Ireland, as well as to the promotion of institutional links.
