In this role, you will become a valuable part of our “Stress and Developmental Integration” research group. Our primary focus is unraveling the molecular mechanisms responsible for how plants adapt to recurring temperature stresses during their growth and development. This knowledge will play a crucial role in our mission to contribute to the development of climate-resilient crops.

Aims of Project
- To explore plant developmental pathways’ responses to temperature fluctuations and how plants build cellular resilience through temperature stress memory.
- To investigating the shoot apical meristem in Arabidopsis thaliana and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum).

Eligibility Criteria of Postdoctoral Position in Germany at IGZ 2023
- Aspirants must have prior experience in designing and executing studies related to temperature responses.
- Candidates must have proficiency and experience in cloning, ChIP-seq, and transcriptional regulation assays.
- Applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in plant biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics.
- Students should be willingness to collaborate in an international work setting
- Hands-on experience with Arabidopsis and/or tomato plants.
- Excellent English language skills, both in speaking and writing.
- Candidates should have qualities such as responsibility, precision, and the ability to concentrate and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Developing assays to assess how gene expression changes in response to temperature shifts.
