The MSU International Student Scholarship program is open to high achieving international students who have demonstrated financial need and demonstrated financial ability. These scholarships are awarded through the MSU Office of International Studies which is located in East Lansing, Michigan. This scholarship program was created to increase awareness of the academic achievements and professional accomplishments of international students in the State of Michigan. It provides rich new experiences to the dreams of young people from all over the world who may otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue higher education in the US.

There are 100s of MSU-related undergraduate scholarships that are funded by Corporate, governments, or individuals that are available to provide scholarships to international students. The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide the students with financial support through MSU so that they may pursue their true passion in pursuing their education.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility for the MSU International Scholarship program is based on the applicant’s academic performance and achievements during the previous two years at their college or university. To be considered for this scholarship program, an international student must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be willing to pursue a degree program offered by the institution
  • Have at least two years of high school studies or its equivalent
  •  Be able to communicate well in English, both orally and in writing
  • A high level of interest in international culture and issues, and a willingness to work with international students

Financial Services /Aid:

This opportunity provides the student with a degree or certificate from a four-year school along with additional benefits including job placement support, mentoring programs, transportation assistance, and more.

MSU Global Ambassador Grant:

The recipients will be the best and most brilliant students. And each of them will receive US$7,000 worth of scholarships each year, for all eight semesters of their undergraduate program.

MSU Presidential Scholarship:

The scholarship amount varies from $3,000 up to $5,000.

MSU International Tuition Grant:

Grants cover tuition for each semester up to $25,000

Professorial Assistantship at MSU:

Working on faculty-mentored research for 8-10 hours each week will earn you $3,500 per year.
