The following are the qualifying requirements for the Kangwon National University Scholarships 2022-23:
- Eligible Countries: All foreign and local students are welcome to apply.
- Eligible Courses or Subjects: Any undergraduate program at Kangwon National University is acceptable.
New student selection criteria
- The student must be enrolled in an undergraduate programat the time of application.
- Must have completed TOPIK level four or above.
- Applicants must have completed a language course at the KNU International Language Institute.
- Applicants must be transfer students.
- The applicant must make their payment during the first semester after enrolment.
- Students must provide all supporting documentation.
- Others’ criteria:
- Students enrolled in the KNU International Language Institute for at least six months are eligible.

- Students pursuing dual degrees are disqualified.
- Must be an undergraduate student with good marks.
- To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed at least 12 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the preceding semester.

- The cost must be paid by students throughout the semester.
- Other students include:
- TOPIK level 4 or above is required beginning in the second semester of 2013.
- Students on full scholarships, multiple degree students, and students completing additional semesters are not eligible.
- Within the financial constraints, the grade-ranking ratio may be modified. It must, however, be sufficient for the fiscal soundness assessment indicator for international student attractiveness.
