- Proficiency in English is necessary as it is the primary language of instruction at McGill. You may write dissertations, exams, or essays in French, except where English proficiency is a course objective.
- Admission to a doctorate program requires the completion of a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Before enrolling, you may need to demonstrate an appropriate level of proficiency in English.

- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent recognized by McGill University) in a subject closely related to the selected graduate work.
