Funded Leadership in USA, Fiji, Japan by Indo-Pacific 2024 is open now. The Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab is a comprehensive program that spans over a year, combining virtual and in-person components. The in-person segment includes three enriching trips to the USA, Fiji, and Japan. Participants will spend one week each in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Suva, Fiji, and Tokyo, Japan. In the 2025 cohort, the focus will be on developing leadership skills to address challenges and risks associated with climate issues. The program features three one-week fully funded seminars in these locations.
Interested individuals can apply for the Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab 2024, a collaborative initiative by the East-West Center and the Japan Foundation targeting emerging leaders from diverse sectors such as academia, civil society, non-profit, business, and government. Through this immersive experience, participants will deepen their leadership practices and expand their impact. The lab is designed for individuals ready to engage, learn, and draw insights from real-world experiences and training opportunities.
Paid Internship by World Meteorological Organization Switzerland 2024
The program will commence virtually in October 2024 and transition to in-person sessions starting in Honolulu, Hawai‘i later in the year. The cohort will then reconvene in Suva, Fiji, and conclude the program in Tokyo, Japan.
Throughout the year-long program, participants will delve into the topic of community adaptation to climate change and explore strategies for effective leadership in supporting these communities.

- Fluent proficiency in English.
- Skills of Leadership work
- Must have a valid passport with validity extending through March 2026.
- 5-10 years of extensive experience in climate change mitigation, adaptation planning, natural resources, environmental governance, or related fields.
